Protecting Natural Nails with UV Gel
This treatment strengthens and protects natural nails using UV gels for a permanent French Manicure finish.
When customers come to the nail salon, they desire beautiful sealed fingernails that last. Conscientious advice on and an explanation of the possibilities and limits of sealing the natural nail is a must in order to ensure satisfied customers.
Smooth the natural nail softly with a buffer and clean the surface with Cleaner. File the nail into the desired shape before the treatment. Apply a thin layer of NNP 1 with a flat brush.
Step 2
Now attach a form under the free nail edge. It is important that the base of the form is fixed tightly to the natural nail without leaving a gap between form and natural nail.
Step 3
Now apply NNP 2, a fibre-reinforced resin. Cover the complete nail with one layer and lengthen the free nail edge by 0.5 to 1mm with the form. Cure the layer in the light unit for two minutes.
Step 4
Remove the form after curing. Smooth the nail edge with a file (180 – 240 grit) without shortening the sealing layer too much. Flatten and smooth the surface.
Step 5
In order to provide an optimal nail edge, apply FM Colour with the Spot Swirl. Use the pointed side of the Spot Swirl. This way you can achieve a very exact FM tip with short as well as long nails. Cure this layer.
Step 6
Remove the dispersion film of FM Colour with a dry cotton swab and seal the surface with NNP 3. Cure this layer.
Step 7
To achieve an especially smooth surface you can apply a second layer of NNP 3. First remove the dispersion film, smooth the surface slightly and then apply NNP 3.
Step 8
This is a permanent cosmetic sealing method for natural nails recommended for damaged and weak natural nails.
