The story so far...

The story begins in the early 1970s, when Fingertips began distributing acrylic powder and liquid systems for nail extensions. It was in 1984 that the Tony Coomber, Chairman of the current business, bought the Company.

In 1986, Tony Coomber was approached by the German manufacturer of the LCN brand (then Light Concept Nails), with a range of pioneering UV gels. It seemed clear that UV gels were a significant technological advance both in terms of physical characteristics and health care considerations, so in February 1986, Light Concept Nails UV gels were first introduced to the UK at the Health & Beauty Exhibition, Brighton.

Following the appointment of the Company as sole importer and exclusive distributor of its products in the United Kingdom and Eire, the Company name was changed from Fingertips Ltd. to Light Concept Nails Ltd.

By 1998, the introduction of new ranges like foot care, make-up and the micro-pigmentation brand, PMC, mean't that nails were no longer the only beauty concept on offer. In order to avoid confusion of identity between brand name and product ranges, Light Concept Nails was rebranded LCN. In the UK, Light Concept Nails Ltd. became LCN (UK) Ltd.

In 2003, the Company was appointed exclusive distributor in the UK for Biodroga Systems, the Spa and Skin Care Company, another German brand. The Company name was now changed into it was decided to change the Company name from LCN (UK) Ltd. now to Beauty Concepts International Ltd. (BCI Ltd.)

With the success of Biodroga in the UK, BCI was soon appointed exclusive distributor of the brand in Eire and, in 2006, as sole distributor in the UK and Eire for Biodroga's flagship sister brand, Futuresse.

The Company has expanded steadily ever since, basing its success on a thoroughly professional approach with emphasis on comprehensive training and extensive customer support. The treatment ranges on offer are also quite unique.

Continuing success in product innovation and development has never been allowed to outpace the parallel development of training programmes and customer support.
