The success story so far...

The story begins in the early 1970s, when Fingertips began distributing powder and liquid systems for nail extensions. It was in 1984 that the driving force behind the business, Tony Coomber, bought the Company.

At this time we were a nail company only. In 1986 we were approached by the German manufacturer of LCN, Wilde Cosmetics, with a range of pioneering UV gels. It seemed clear to us that UV gels were a significant technological advance both in terms of physical characteristics and health care considerations, so in February 1986, we first introduced UV gels to the UK at the Health & Beauty Exhibition in Brighton.

Following our appointment by Wilde, as sole importer and exclusive distributor of its products in the United Kingdom and Eire, we changed the Company name from Fingertips Ltd. to Light Concept Nails Ltd.

By 1998, Light Concept Nails was no longer the only LCN beauty concept, with the introduction of new ranges like foot care and make-up and the new micropigmentation brand, PMC. Wilde changed the name of the brand from Light Concept Nails to LCN to avoid confusion of identity between brand name and product ranges. In the UK, we followed suit and renamed the Company LCN (UK) Ltd.

In 2003 the Company was appointed exclusive distributor in the UK for Biodroga Systems, the Spa and Skin Care Company, another German brand manufactured by Fribad Cosmetics . As a result it was once again necessary to change the Company name. LCN (UK) Ltd. now became Beauty Concepts International Ltd.

In 2005, because of the success of Biodroga in the UK, we were also appointed the exclusive distributor of the brand in Eire and in 2006 we were appointed as sole distributors in the UK and Eire for Fribad Cosmetics' flagship brand, Futuresse.

The Company has expanded steadily ever since, basing its success on a thoroughly professional approach with emphasis on comprehensive training and extensive customer support. The treatment ranges on offer are also quite unique.

Despite our success in product innovation and development, this has never been allowed to outpace the parallel development of the training and support that we offer our customers.
